SAL Kantha - Final Update!

eventually here comes the final update of Anita's SAL..seeing my whole kantha design,cant explain how excited i was when i have completed last weeks tutorial..iam certainly fortunate to join in her SAL this time and really enjoyed it a lot..i can say that those who has not joined in have missed it everyway..

Needless to say that her explanations in SAL were crystal clear and i much appreciate her embroidery talent..i hope she will grant us with further wonderful tutorials through Artisticfingers as early as possible..thank you so much Anita..

SAL Kantha - Triangle Borders and Dots

This time also i was too late to update my SAL as i had some personal matters..anyway i finished it by yesterday evening..oops!sorry,somehow i have left to fill center of the crown flower..i will do it with the next post..happy and proud to see the Kantha design now :)..do you feel my color choice is going dull? waiting forward to Artisticfingers for tomorrow's final post..uploading 3 pics here..

SAL Kantha - Dhaneer Sheesh border

i have finished this week's SAL Kantha where i have done "dhaneer sheesh border" with 7 kantha stitches using 2 strands of anchor black..i have filled the band with arrowheads through out without leaving gap at the bottom..even though mine is not so perfect,it was an interesting experience for me to make this special arrowhead band..i really enjoyed it a lot..thank you Anita..

SAL Kantha - Wheel and Borders

i love Paichano so i was also happy to change the borders as per Anita's decision..now it looks adorable na? Yesss,SAL Kantha tutorial is almost going to finish by 2 weeks..Damn sure that we cant get any wonderful tutorial other than Anita's..cant wait long for a new tute...so definitely i believe she wont disappoint us..

SAL Kantha 'curlicues and leaf blades'

this time i was a bit late to update my SAL page..here we had a few days function in our temple and so not able to stitch or blog..but out of curiosity,i had to visit Artisticfingers on wednesday itself to know about how the new post would be?..sooo sorry to know that anita  was not well then:( and the tutorial was too short as well..
anita,hope you are getting over it now..BTW as you asked, iam suggesting a name for the leafy thing ie: leaf blade :)..now as usual iam attaching the pics here..

SAL Kantha 'Center Flower'

when i went through Anita's Artisticfingers, absolutely gobsmacked seeing the beautiful flower in the center..how perfectly she did it..awesome color too..i couldnt even wait for a day to try it so started stitching just after finishing my household chores..i feel quite happy when iam stitching those wonderful kantha stitches..hmmmm yet to wait till next wednesday! :(..as usual iam attaching the pics for your view :)..

i was waiting for Anita's post from 'Artisticfingers' to do the stitches immediately as iam always curious to learn new embroidery :)..now i have completed the 3rd step of SAL Kantha where comes the spiral,scroll and special kantha booti..uploaded the pics here..

SAL Kantha Embroidery

iam posting my 1st SAL kantha Embroidery sampler which i learnt from Anita's Artisticfingers..this is for my 'tablet' cover which is 10×7'' in size..iam using 2 strands here..after doing many more trial and error method i have ended up with this sample..here i have uploaded 2 pics including a reverse side as well..in my opinion reverse side always helps us to understand the way of stitching easily..i know practice makes perfect..so i did challenge and hope it turned out not bad..iam awaiting your feedbacks..i got interested to do this SAl and waiting for next lesson:)..thank you so much anita for your great generous attitude of sharing a wonderful art..
